Meal Planning Magic
Trying to add more plant-based meals and foods to your diet will be easier for some than others depending on how heavily your diet included eating animal products at each meal in the past. We recommend that you focus on each success – meal by meal – and don’t ‘beat yourself up’ on the occasions where your food choices are not how you planned.
Going 100% plant-based overnight is a step too far for the majority, so take the time to ease into it, get accustomed to new foods and recipes, learn and educate yourself, and enjoy the process.
Eating plant-based for just three days a week can have a huge impact on your health, the lives of other living creatures, and the environment!
One thing that will make your journey into the world of plant-based eating way more enjoyable is planning ahead of time. It will help you avoid those moments when your pantry is lacking in options.
Have you ever tried meal planning?
Creating a quick and simple plan for the days that you are eating plant-based will help make the process a lot easier. Spend some time browsing our website, and the many others online, for meal and snack ideas, then make yourself a shopping list.
We highly recommend using any leftovers for lunch the following day, and also making double batches of your favourite meals so you can freeze them for when you are ‘time poor’. We also love the idea of pre-making meals on the weekend (if you have the time) – this will make your week so much easier at mealtimes and will give you more time to relax with your family and friends on weeknights.
