Meat Substitutes To Help You Transition To A Plant-Based Diet

Meat substitutes are particularly useful when first transitioning to a plant-based diet, as in many instances they allow you to slowly change your eating habits without having to dump all of your family favourite meals. They can also provide an easy and high source of protein to alleviate any concerns you have that your family may be missing out nutritionally. You will soon learn that your daily protein levels can easily be met on a plant-based diet without using meat substitutes, however in the transition phase it is ok to go with the things that make the changeover easier and smoother for everyone involved.

Keep in mind that changing you and your family’s eating habits will take time. They may not like the first meat substitute you serve up, however with a little persistence and trial and error, you will find the ones that are most suitable to your family’s tastes.
