Our Top 5 Vegans To Follow For Plant-Based Inspiration!
When you decide to make a positive change in your life, you can sometimes experience days where you feel it is all too hard. We all do. On these days (and all those in between) it is a good idea to have a source of inspiration to turn to.
Inspiration can come in many forms, however we find the best form of inspiration comes from those who are further ahead in the journey than oneself. You can turn to these people for recipe ideas, words of encouragement, and reminders of why you trying to make change.
When you first start eating plant-based, we can tell you from our own experience that often the people you have always known and loved may have difficulty comprehending why you have made the change, and trouble accepting that it is the right choice for you and your family. Ordinarily, from a motivational point of view, you would be advised to surround yourself with only those that inspire you and move away of the rest, but we all know that changing your dietary preferences is no reason to cut all ties with those that may not approve.
For this reason, we recommend you surround yourself with like-minded and inspirational plant-based eaters – so follow them online. Of course, we will continue to provide you with inspiration through our own social media channels and blogs, however, we’d love you to explore the many others out there. After all, we have such easy access to them and the information they share.
Here are our Top 5 Inspiring Vegan websites to follow:
Bosh.tv
Bosh is awesome, it is a bit different to others as all their recipes are videos. Their recipes are very family-friendly and will certainly get your mouth watering.
Henry Firth and Ian Theasby started Bosh in 2016 and it has certainly taken the world by storm (thanks to social media). Their website is easy to navigate and jam-packed with recipe videos, they have also released a cookbook. I find their recipes a little heavier than I am used to but they are certainly ones that appeal to my husband for this very reason.
You can find them here:
Live Kindly
Live Kindly is another beautiful website and this one is certainly not simply all about food. The Team cover news (health, ethics, business, environment, celebrity, beauty and fashion) as well as recipes, reviews, and travel information. I have always found their content comes from a positive viewpoint, and let’s face it not all news needs to be bad news. I love seeing their posts pop up in my newsfeed and keeping up with all the positive change that is happening in the world as people move towards plant-based eating.
You can find them here:
Minimalist Baker
Dana is the Minimalist Baker. Her website is all about providing recipes that require 10 ingredients or less, 1 bowl or 30 minutes or less to prepare. That is certainly not to say that her recipes are basic, ‘throw together’ types, but rather they are exquisite. Not to mention that her photography is absolutely stunning and will certainly make you want to hit the kitchen to try out her recipes.
This website is just so pretty. One you could definitely get lost in for hours on end!
You can find her here:
Thug Kitchen
Reader beware: Thug Kitchen contains explicit language
I’ll admit the warning above is one of the reasons I love this website. Their language is crude but the recipes are really delicious. I find that it is not the easiest website to navigate so prefer to keep up with their social media pages. I can’t tell you who is behind this website as they make a point of not really promoting themselves, but it doesn’t really matter as they make me laugh and sometimes all we need is to have a little fun.
You can find them here:
Plant Based News
Plant Based News covers all things news when it comes to vegan/plant-based – the good and the bad. Their articles are really informative and cover a wide range of topics from environment, celebrities, economics, food, health, law and politics and many more. I find this website gives you a much broader view of what veganism is all about by covering all of the topics that matter. They also provide information about how to become an advocate if this is the path you choose.

I hope this list has helped. There are so many websites and social media channels to choose from that sometimes it can become a little overwhelming. My advice to you is to go with what feels right, as your journey into plant-based eating should inspire you and make you feel full of life. Surround yourself – even if only online for now – with those that help you bring forth your very best.
Enjoy.
