Cruelty-Free Skin Care & Cosmetics You Should Try!
It staggers me how the majority of fragrance, skin care and cosmetic companies still test on animals and use animal-derived ingredients in their products.
Being vegan I like to support companies that share similar ethics to me, and I also like to pimp those cruelty-free products to my friends and family in the hope they may buy more ethically when they shop.
Below are my favourite cosmetic and skin care companies – you may like to give them a try – I can vouch for their products being totally amazing and they are all very affordable too!
LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics
I have been shopping at LUSH since it opened in Covent Garden in 1995. Whether I walk into a store, or open a parcel delivered by LUSH, I get that same amazing sensory overload I did over 20 years ago. Just one whiff of their products and my emotion and wellbeing levels are improved.
LUSH create fresh handmade cosmetics for customers all over the world, and if you’ve ever bought a product you’ll see each has a sticker on it listing who the amazing creator was. I absolutely love this personal touch.
LUSH has always been a campaigning company – proud to swim against the tide and support groups and causes they truly believe in. They are still fighting against animal testing, and are working on preservative-free cosmetics.
LUSH is 100% vegetarian, 80% vegan (items are clearly marked on packaging). They pride themselves on ethical buying and naked packaging.

RAWW Australian Organics
RAWW don’t like to brag, but they’re the only superfood infused Australian-made, Australian-owned cosmetics and skin care brand.
All RAWW products are infused with natural coconut water and antioxidants from a collection of powerful local berries. Every product is natural (with no nasties) and 100% cruelty-free. Almost every product is certified vegan by the Vegan Society and the packaging is clearly marked.
RAWW used NO parabens, talc, bismuth oxychloride, or nanoparticles. RAWW does not test on animal, uses NO synthetic fragrance, chemicals, LSL or SLES, sulphates, and petrochemicals.
Their packaging is beautiful and the fragrance of the skin care is addictive!

DB Designer Brands
I am a major fan of this cosmetic line. It’s 100% certified cruelty-free (CCF), affordable, and the range is really creative and extensive. Almost all their products are certified vegan, and they are striving towards making their complete range vegan as quickly as possible.
Their products are made to the highest standards, with the happiness of all creatures (great and small) in mind. They don’t use talc, bismuth or parabens in any of their products.
Their range has so many items to choose from that it makes birthday and Christmas shopping for my daughter of 12 a very simple job. Plus they have some great incentives of a free gift when you buy three items, and when you’ve purchased six items (and have your card stamped), you get to choose a free item from their range.
