Our Intentions Create Our Reality
“Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts.”
Soren Kierkegaard (1813-1855)
Intentions are so powerful.
An intention is a clear and positive statement of an outcome you want to experience, a goal, or vision that guides your activities, thoughts, attitudes, and choices. You can set intentions around any area of your life – personal, self-care, community, relationships, food choices, exercise, and employment. To enact your intentions will require focus, action, and positive energy in order to manifest.
Intentions have no limits.
If you dream or desire it then you can set the intention. Our minds are sometimes restrictive and fool us into believing what we desire is not attainable, however, our intentions are drawn from our heart and as such will be limitless. Being conscious of your intention will give it the power to present itself in reality.
Intentions give you direction.
If you don’t have any idea where you are going, then how can you expect to get there? Intentions provide a framework for priority setting, resources you’ll need and a timeframe. They also illustrate that you are serious about where you want to be, and the type of person you’d like to be. Setting intentions allows you to focus on who you are and to live by your values, and they give you motivation and inspiration to achieve your purpose.
Intentions need to be realistic.
Intentions need to be challenging enough to make positive change, but not so difficult that the intention defeats you. Make your intentions realistic but don’t underestimate how much you are capable of achieving.
When you set clear intentions they will assist you to say ‘no’ when necessary. Maybe you find it difficult to say ‘no’ which means you are busy with tasks and projects that do not serve your own goals and intentions. By setting intentions your actions will be guided to best serve you.
