Method

    1. Lightly fry the onion and garlic until cooked.

    2. Add all the other ingredients and bring to boil, then turn down to simmer.

    3. Simmer for 35 minutes.

    4. Using a blender or stick mixer blend the soup mixture to texture you like (I blend so it is about 75% smooth, 25% unblended). Be careful of the hot liquid.
