1. Combine first 5 ingredients and bring to the boil whilst constantly stirring.
2. Once boiling stop stirring for 1 minute and the mixture should become clear and start to thicken.
3. Take off the heat and whisk through the milk and spread.
4. Place into jars and refrigerate. The mixture will continue to thicken when in the fridge.
